+ shares on top of what T Rowe sold. Interesting how the shares shorted remained high throughout the process of T ROWE selling and GMT buying VGCX shares and then after the acquisition by GMT dropped like a stone to a mere 215,930 shorted shares on April 15th as MVargas recently pointed out. Imagine what VGCX share price could have run up to during GMT's acquiring of 6.4 million shares without the short sales pressure.
My guess is the next set of short sales data (April 30th) will show a bit of a short sale increase, hence the recent share price decline after a pretty decent run up. I expect this share price volatility will continue until after Q2 earnings confirms VGCX ship is back on course.
