New VLT Ticker Now Live Lithium has been a hot topic over the past few years as the continued push for the EV transition continues. However, as prices have recently taken a beating, it has only made lithium more attractive when considering the current shortage is only due to EVs accounting for 14% of new car sales and many governments are aiming to reach the 50% mark by 2030. Additionally, EV companies are continuing to add new EVs to their lineups, only accelerating the rapidly growing demand for lithium. More specifically, NA lithium should see an uptick in demand with the new Volkswagen battery plant in Ontario and increased government support in the US for domestic EV manufacturing and battery development.

With the recent name change to Volt Lithium Corp ($VLT.V), they are transitioning the business toward being the first company in North America to become a producer of lithium from oilfield brine.
- Already in the pilot production process, which places them ahead of major competitors when it comes to project development.
- With results from the pilot production to be released soon, we’ll see the foundation for what to expect moving into the future, and with the commercial production facility should be ready by 2024 for full-scale production, there’s a lot of potential here.
- $VLT.V’s DLE technology allows them to have higher brine purity at a far lower cost, all while being far less invasive to the environment.
- They also raised $4M to support the developments and exploration of their lithium assets, so they should have a solid cash position for the time being.
With all of the recent developments $VLT.V has been one of the top-performing junior mining companies, up 245% YTD. As the market cap is still just $40M, with production plans coming closer there should be a lot more upside to be seen here.
