Oil isn't just used for energy production, it is also used in the manufacturing process for over 5,000 household and common end user products.
Cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, lubricants, solvents and fertilizers are just a few examples. There won't be any "transitioning" away to electrical power because electrons have no molecular weight. Its just electricity and you can't use that to tar the roads or lubricate your car so unless an alternate periodic table exists then oil isn't going anywhere. It is a critical part of everyday life.
No matter what trolls (who have multiple handles and spend hundreds of hours 'liking" each other have to say--amusing isn't it that these people have nothing else to do in life), oil is going to be used in abundance for a very long time. Accordingly, Canadian oil exports to the USA have reached record highs in the last few years so yes indeed "riddle me this"
