What could RALI-Dx do for Doctors and Hospitals? (Triage)
What could RALI-Dx do for Doctors and Hospitals? (Triage) Conclusions: The rapid diagnostic biomarker panel accurately identified the need for inpatient care in patients presenting with respiratory symptoms, including COVID-19. The RALI-Dx test is broadly and easily applicable across many jurisdictions, and represents an important diagnostic adjunct to advance ED decision-making protocols.
We eagerly anticipate more quantitiative results to be shared as further data is presented. While we have heard positive indications regarding RALI-Dx tests, we must think about the tangible results. Being able to send patients home that otherwise would have taken a bed and associated care/costs, is significant. This is especially true when you can reduce patient admission by a double digit percentage. While even ten percent would be a good number, I believe the number will be superior. For those that have followed details around SQI's sister test (TOR-Dx) it has been viewed as highly informative and is aiding in decision making in regards to organ transplant....(a high stakes event/decision).
The other important consideration is the patient that the Doctor sends home based on how the patient appears to be doing. There are a portion of patients that get released that soon return, and they are now in a lot worse condition with more serious consequences as a result. Even a low single digit percent catch here is of great significance too, as the patient isn't wrongly sent home.
Driving better, more informed decision making is in everyones best interest. At a time when resources are limited it is ever more important. This ability to provide better and more efficient care is a worldwide opportunity. Being able to get results quickly at point of care/need is massive, and makes adoption an obvious choice.
I understand why some suggest SQI has "Change the World Products".
