Owners of OSK shares for the short term will get out and the long term investors in gold miners will buy the shares. There is good value in this deal. After searching for more than a year for a partner, it was most probably the best deal they could find. GFI, a seasoned gold miner, is also taking a risk in this adventure, but if the reward, if its good for them, it will be good for OSK shareholders.
As for the $100m discrepancy, with near 400m shares, OSK would need to rise $0.25 to close the gap. This could be done in a single day...
