Yes. I remember Notgnu quite well.  He was the board head cheerleader before you, a daily pumper and speculator who promised the moon, manipulated and cherry-picked data in support wild and unresponsible expectations of fantastic returns.  He was much better at it than you are, BTW.  He and his consorts, Fluffy, et al, even made a private club of warrant holders who were to be given a free trip to Vegas paid by the huge profits they were to receive.  His constant projections of 2 bagger, 3X bagger, even 5 bagger encouraged others that NCU was a cash cow in the making.  It ain’t.  The UG mine was NEVER thought to be more than a fallback position keeping the lights on until higher copper prices brought a buyer or lowered the cost of OP development.

It didn’t quite work out that way.  When copper was hot, speculation was huge in jr. copper miners and too many were convinced that any copper mine was going to be a huge moneymaker.  The PPS went up – a lot!  And then the fever broke, and it went down – a lot, causing higher costs for financing the development of the UG mine.  It is my contention that the damage done to the stock chart discouraged new investment, making subsequent borrowing more expensive.

Experienced investors know the best returns are the result of steady appreciation.  A lottery ticket is a better opportunity for fast money.  At least with a lottery, you win or lose right away instead of holding underwater stock for years waiting perhaps to take an ultimate loss, but to each his own.
