The ProfessorThe proph asserts that in order to somehow be engaged with your investment you need to be hip deep in the science. As an owner my job isnt to know every dettail about how YBG bonds to dectin 1 blah blah blah. My job is to insure that I have Managers that I trust to execute on a plan that they have taken great pains to formulate and communicate to their owners. Full stop. The details of which I have no need or desire to know. I want clear goals that are consistenly met and ongoing progess reports as we move forward.
I also know that evrytime a researcher mentions they have found something interesting in the lab the chance of that thing becoming a revenue generating product are incredibly remote and that it will take years and millions of dollars to get there. So DR Ask and Dr Kolb and whoever mumbling about interestting lab work on lung fibrosis is so far removed from revenue as to be peripheral to my interest at best. What I do know is how to sell, how to create interest how to bring divergent thoughts to the table to cross pollinate ideas and this has never been seen a CZO up to this point. And Proph I dont mean academic/science input this is a commodity that anyone can buy. Visionary leadership and the ability to build productive teams is the most valuable skill in the world and is sadly lacking at CZO.
