Kraken Energy Corp (ticker: UUSA.c or UUSAF for US investors) controls 3 past-producing uranium projects in Nevada: the Apex, Garfield Hills, and Huber Hills projects. With the utilization of advanced technology, UUSA is confident in extracting further uranium from these sites that have been historically fruitful.
The Garfield Hills Property has shown promising signs of mineralization. The 2023 drilling program produced positive downhole probe results, with 11 completed holes covering an area of approximately 400 m by 900 m. These holes revealed wide zones of elevated radioactivity as indicated by a downhole gamma probe. The assay results from the samples are expected to be disclosed as soon as they become available. UUSA is also planning a Phase 2 drill program later this year to further explore the potential of the Garfield Hills Project.
The Huber Hills Property has a notable production history, having previously yielded around 10,000 pounds of UO at an average grade of 0.24% UO. Recent analysis of channel samples from the area has revealed uranium grades of 0.149% and 0.102%, indicating a strong likelihood of undiscovered uranium deposits within the project site. UUSA has planned a drill program at Huber Hills, expected to take place before the end of the year.
UUSA has also announced its plans to initiate a drill program during this quarter at its Apex Project, which is recognized as Nevada's largest last-producing uranium mine. Various samples from the project uranium returned grades ranging from 0.5% U3O8 to 3.19% U3O8. Additionally, apart from its uranium production, the Apex Project also holds potential for other valuable minerals, as historical records indicate the extraction of silver and gold samples with grades as high as 15 g/t.
UUSA also recently acquired an option to acquire up to a 75% stake in the 2,622-hectare Harts Point Uranium Property ) in San Juan County, southeast Utah.
