Challenger650 Artemis 1 of the most tracked on FlightRadar24 Bombardier Challenger 650 ARTEMIS aircraft, which took off from Lithuania, patrols over eastern Romania on Saturday afternoon. This is one of the most tracked flights on the FlightRadar24 platform at the moment.
The Bombardier Challenger 650 ARTEMIS plane, with the designation CL60, flies over the area of Moldova, including Iai, and Dobrogea and is followed in real time by over 600 people.
The aircraft took off from Lithuania and flew from north to south Europe to patrol over our country.
The Challenger 650, which resembles the private jets of billionaires, has been modified by Leidos Defense Group for the US military.
The plane was deployed from the US to Europe to be part of the NATO effort to monitor Russian forces near the border with Ukraine, according to Defense Romania.
The aircraft flies an average of six days a week for nine to 10 hours a day, according to the deputy president of manufacturer Leidos Defense Group.
"We do not enter the contested environment. We are looking into the contested environment from a high altitude, just looking down, from an uncontested environment," said Mike Chagnon, according to Defense Romania.
The Bombardier Challenger 650 ARTEMIS plane has no weapons on board and does not fly in the so-called "contested" airspace that enters the air defense zone of the warring parties.
