what not to expect?

what not to expect?
1- not expecting the new CEO to have to give 2 weeks notice at his/her/they/them/she/her/it/whutever's previous job.

if we're dealing w/ anyone that needs to give 2 weeks notice, you can keep 'em. people of this calibre should be already seeking a new position.  anyone needing to give 2 weeks isn't at the level we desire or NEED.  i'd expect a few months needed to transition if currently employed.  this will be telling as to the level of the person we get.  "in a few weeks".

2- i'm not expecting a ROFR from anyone: right of first refusal.  those don't just grow on trees.  i'm fairly certain these are announced and some sort of considerating is exchanged. i.e the potential purchasor will pay big-ish money in order to get the ROFR.  these 2 companies particiapting in the recent PP  could've bought a ROFR but it would be listed as a term and condition, and it would come w/ a cost.  and it would be announced. since we haven't seen anything like that, i'll conclude there isnt any ROFR.

one thing i do think is that an entrenched player with established operations in this space wouldn't have to wait for the FS.  we're maybe 6ish weeks away from end of june and the anticipated FS. hope we're on track.  let the bidding begin, now.

i also hope the company stops putting out BS 'in a few weeks' types of comments.  not helping anyone and it's making you look stupid when "a few weeks" turns into "a few months" and counting.  the messaging had better clear up.  be nice to get an update prior to FS as to where-we-@... if we don't get an update, i'm expecting the FS to be a flop.   good info to have (obvi) but it won't move the needle.  so much for the short term / immediate term.

the collaps in SP is disheartening overall.  the gum flapping flippant comments don't help much 'short term and immediate term'.  the run up ~50% looks orchestrated over the past couple weeks.  hopefully that's not the sell in may and go away that the vulture exchange is FAMOUS for!
