RE:RE:RE:RE:SU share price breaking out to the downsideThe key to the future for PetroCan stations will be installing EV chargers as you suggested.
Here is the problem with trying to compete with what will soon be a widespread network of Tesla Superchargers going forward:
* Tesla is rapidly building out EV Superchargers in Europe and North America
* Tesla is currently charging about 25% less than its competitors in Europe for charging
* Telsa is installing Megapacks at its charger stations in Europe which will allow Tesla to buy energy from the grid overnight when the price is very close to zero (Ontario and Quebec actually pay New York State to take away our excess energy at night)
* By 2030, there will be so much excess energy at night that I expect Tesla will never have to pay for its energy as it will simply download the excess grid energy at night
* That means stores (restaurants, hotels, etc) will be able to provide free charges for customers (I posted a video before about this) once they hook up with Tesla
How is Suncor going to compete? The news is only going to get worse for ICE vehicles and therefore Suncor:
* Sweden is building the world's first permanent electrified road for EVs to charge while driving. The first of its kind in the world, the e-motorway may lead to an expansion of a further 3,000 km of electric roads in Sweden by 2035.
* There is a startup company that is building a 1 mile stretch of road in Detroit in 2023 that allows you to charge your car while driving the road if you subscribe to their receiver
* Tesla is expected to be installing mats in the near future that you park over instead of getting out of your car to hook up the "electron hose" . Tesla is also massively ramping up the charging speed
