RE:RE:Investors seem to forgetIt has been ugly across the whole spectrum of potpreneurs because there are too many players and too much supply and illegal supply in the US.
Canada achieved a safe supply of inspected product but screwed up in so many ways it has the LPs looking south after watching the US MSOs making some money with cautious navigation of their laws and legal States.
The constant delays by the US politicians to come up with some form of decriminalization has affected their businesses too such that they are all in the same boat.
The supply and amount of players is working against the success of these potpreneurs but the big players are taking advantage of that and nobody is like STZ with their investments.
STZ paid too much for Canopy when they paid over $40 a share but they kept right on sorting out where the value deals were with GAGE, Jetty, BioSteel, Martha Stewart, Stors and Bickell and got their fingers in to them, on the cheap.
The constant shortselling is Securities issue that is yet to be dealt with! It is so unfair that these guys can sell something they don't own but they are getting away with it just like all of those big bankers grabbing up bonuses while their banks are tanking and standing in the welfare line, to be bailed out by taxpayers.
Great companies of potential are being killed by those grabby bazturds with their coercion, ganging up with their algorithms and deep pockets selling down shares until they succeed or have to cover.
At minimum, Securities needs to give shareholders the option to not have their shares shorted and could easily do it with one tick in a box in your profile with your online or personal broker.
Naked shortselling should just be outlawed but hasn't been because it is almost failproof until you get a revolt like the Redditt Gamestop short squeeze that hurt some of the bankster shortseller types when they had to cover their shorts when the stockprice was at huge multiples of where they entered.
The stockmarket has been an essential tool for business but being taken over by self serving individuals that are stacking the deck.
This could ruin that source of financing for small companies, large ones too because it is so dirty and confusing that common investors won't be willing to take the chance of investing.
The dirty business goes right to the top of government imho and we need a new breed of politicians who know that graft and collusion to pocket somebodyelse's money is wrong.
Trump got elected because he promised to drain the swamp. Sadly he failed because that whole shytshow is still swirling around the drain.
Bernie up the middle with a commonsense party that are willing to get rid of the old system that is only working for a few.
Maybe not Bernie!
