Turning the corner on Nuclear?
Turning the corner on Nuclear?I have worked my entire career at a large nuclear complex. I can attest to the incredible amount of energy produced 24 hours a day ,year in year out. The waste is stored on site in inside a long term storage facilityThere is still useable fuel retrievable in the spent fuel. The units are well maintained and extremely clean. One pound of Uranium has the energy equivalent of 14 barrels of oil with no co2. There is going to be a huge increase of baseload power required due to electric cars. Think about it the cheapest way to charge your car is at your home after 7 pm . This will be the norm. After 7 pm how much solar power will be available and normally how windy is it in the evening. For most jurisdictions the power will have to mainly come from nuclear power or burning either coal or natural gas. It is really a no brainer but unfortunately key environmental groups who I believe really do not understand how the electrical grid systems work and are rabidly antinuclear. They seem to have the governments ear. I believe because of them we are headed for a shortage of baseload electricity. If we started on a huge build out of nuclear plants now ,we still would have the problem. More generating stations are poised to be shutdown than built over the next 5 years. The crunch is coming and I don’t see another viable choice other then more nuclear plants but politicians seem to be forever kicking the can down the road. I believe we will be indirectly using Uranium in the future to fuel our vehicles.Thats why I’m investing in Uranium. I think it will similar to investing in oil back in 1900 and it kind of took off.
