RE:toro jv with neighbor

RE:toro jv with neighborZijin never bid for Gold X (Toroparu).  A few years ago GCM (Aris) made a joint bid for both Gold X and Guyana Goldfields after Silvercorp and Zijin started bidding on Guyana Goldfields.

The lowball offer was rejected and GCM came back to the table a year later and upped the bid for Gold X which ultimately approved the merger.

I highly doubt that Aris would dump Toroparu shortly after acquiring it.

From my perspective, what I am watching to see what takes place in S. America is whom will buy the distressed Great Panther gold mine in Brazil.  Any major could likely have it for a sizable discount right now as it is in the middle of bankruptcy protection.

S. America is a tough neighbourhood, the market seems to punish producers whether good or bad based upon jurisdictional risks (whether legitimate or not).
