RE:RE:$0.60 energy cost to drive 100 milesjx: I can't answer that question other than I have watched a video where a guy parked a Tesla in -30 for three days and the car was completely frozen. The guy then pressed an App on his phone and the car started to warm up. It took a bit, but the car eventually started charging and he drove away. I'm sure there is an explanation of how Tesla's deal with the cold as they have done all kinds of testing with videos of the evidence.
I don't know the answer, but my guess is that the guy that has put a car in space, has robots walking around after starting from scratch 18 months ago, and has monkeys solving fairly sophisticated puzzles with neural net voodoo can figure out how to make a car run in the cold.
