ADF Group's shares jumped Wednesday after the steel superstructures producer logged increased earnings in the latest quarter thanks to a rise in sales.
In morning trading, the shares were 15% higher at C$3.45, widening the advance so far this year to 64%. The stock has now more than doubled over the last 12 months.
Net income rose to 5.4 million Canadian dollars ($4.0 million) for the fiscal first quarter, or C$0.16 a share, from C$4.3 million, or C$0.13, a year earlier.
Adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization jumped more than 75% to C$10.0 million from C$5.6 million last year.
Revenue for the three months to April 30 was 18% higher at C$80.3 million.
