RE:Air Cycle Machine (ACM) for the GlobalThis is some inside information or rumors.
ACM are not made by Bombardier but companies like RTX, Honeywell, SAFRAN etc. If Global is short them so would be other aircraft makers.
ACM is air conditioner system for the cabin. It is a LRU (line replacement unit) meaning you can replace them on flight line/ramp.
You can borrow an ACM from flight test aircraft to carry out final acceptance flight test and remove it. Obviously you wont be able to deliver the new airplane but it wont stop the production line and late delivery penalty will be picked up by the late supplier.
Worst case if this unit is in fact delay then we will see no aircraft delivered and when the unit is available all of them will be delivered.
I wont be too concerned about this. Every OEM from airframer, engine makers to sub components makers manage supply issues daily.
