RE:And the share price BEAT DOWN goes on....This is either part of some strategic plan, or John is terrible with his personal finances and needs to sell to pay his debts. I'm hoping for the former, but not ruling out the latter.

If it was truly bad news for the company, I'm sure the other insiders would be selling, but no, it's just John.
