RE:Pieces of the Puzzle

RE:Pieces of the Puzzle I try to stay away from the Kool-aid induced hopium posts but on this one, what you mentioned about Roger's itinerary got me. I said the same thing about his new "rush to get home" to my friend when he anounced he was heading for the canal directly.
Dec 27 he posted a map of his route called COME FLY WITH ME. It laid out a route that followed all the islands of the Caribbean before going through the Panama Canal and on to Hawaii and home. Even mentioned making stops along the way for weather windows and provisioning. The trade winds from my limited knowledge and tracking his journey prevail from Panama to Hawaii and then back across to Victoria. "It will be a continuos sail"
Nothing was posted about a change of plans before setting out March 29 on a direct route to the canal. He even posted on March 4 "Let this current chapter of my life define me as an Explorer & Navigator". Not that a 5500 km sail doesn't do it too but I still thought it was the planned 10000 km trip plan.
The only thing of note was a post in that time was a post about the Historical trading volume LME experienced over 3 days in January. Was something starting to brew then?
When he came out of the canal and while he was in Cabo I wondered if he was going to make the run for Hawaii as the forcast winds up the coast were unrelenting with only small windows of favourable winds.

And now I await the postings of the next "The next chapter" that should start any day as I add to the Hopium

Damn that Kool-aid is good
Cheers
