whatever happened to Bid.Com?

whatever happened to Bid.Com?Wern't Solars going to be advertising and selling last minute flights through them? Also, I was surprised on reading how to find flights on LL / LL+ that after accessing GDS, entering relevant code for Solarnet, that you entered the code for a particular consolidator (AirK for example). When andrew o'leary explained this system to me at a trade show, I thought the whole point was that you entered your departure and destination, or optional dog legs, and solarnet came back with the best value deal from all of the information in it's database. If there are loads of consolidators, and you have to specify which consolidator to search on before entering the travel details, then, okay it's a $1.50 for each search, but if there are 50 consolidators, an agent isn't going to spend $75 and an hour checking them all! Without the ability to search for best deal accross alll available consolidators / airlines, some of the benefit of LL is gone. It just becomes an online version of the faxes consolidators send to agents. What's the story, anyone familiar with LL / LL+? Idle
