Surely switching to alternative fuels such as oil or natural gas would also produce CO2 or would it be CO emmissions and I would assume at the same rate as coal "more than a TON of CO2 per MWh of energy produced". I agree with those who say coal is here to stay. We have vast reserves for many centurys; whereas relying on a increasingly more expensive oil and natural gas, with availability manipulated by the oil cartels and big oil companies puts our electrical energy supply at risk. IMHO installing NOx and scrubbers on coal fired smoke stacks is far less expensive in the long run than switching to alternative fuels which also have emissions. Long on TMG and have been holding for 3 years. ilikesleeman
