RE:TSA Approved Vendor List I saw that link on another forum. I'm not sure that specific list of competitors applies directly to XTRA. You'll notice that the category of that document has to do specifically with Air Cargo Screening Technologies. The person quoted in the latest news release is from the TSA's "Chief Public Area Security & Infrastructure Protection (PASIP), Multimodal and Public Area Capabilities (MPAC), Requirements & Capabilities Analysis (RCA), Department of Homeland Security – TSA.
This seems to be a use case more aligned with where we already know XTRA has gone towards. So i think the link with TSA approval probably has more to do with securing public areas of transportation venues. But that is not limited to airports. So add train stations, bus depots, etc.
I've tried to find a similar list relevant to securing public areas, or even something like passenger screening (although it might be early to even take that angle) but couldn’t come up with anything.
Still this is excellent news and comes as no surprise!
