RE:RE:Yearly low today....

RE:RE:Yearly low today....Headwater is probably the company to buy Spur Petroleum and they will need alot of cash to do it.
I don't think TVE has the cash to buy Spur, Spur will take alot of money.

If energy prices take a downturn in the cycle which I think we will see happening, should be more mergers coming.  Sellers prices have to come down and downturns force people to adjust and realign.

It is good to be a bigger company in a downturn, which is why I partly thing Baytex and TVE have done the moves they have done.

Cardium in my opinion is one of the most interesting plays for future as no new company likely going to come into that play and throw around cash. Way too many companies operating in the Cardium and consoldiation will have to happen to lower costs.

OBE is in the best position right now to be patient and wait their cardium competitors out.  OBE is in the best position to run a bare bones drilling capex in Cardium...but BNE, IPO and YGR cant.

Best fit for YGR is Petrus but I dont blame them for avoiding ARO.  After OBE, YGR is prob best position to scale back capex if things turn ugly.
