RE: whatever happened to Bid.Com?

RE: whatever happened to Bid.Com?You are absolutely right Tiny, LL / LL+ is way better than phone and faxes. I was just surprised by an earlier post that contradicted what Andrew had told me over a year ago, I beleive the post on this BB. Couple of points, admittedly fro the same conversation! You don't need LL to find out if there are consolidator seats avalable on a given flight. On the CRS, if these seats are available, the line describing the flight has an asterix at the end. LL merely confirms that a specific consolidator has ability to book that seat and at what price. LL+ is the big time saver, eliminating the phone call / fax to make booking. I don't know if consolidators offer the same discounted seats on a given plane at different prices? IMO, searching all flights on Solarnet for best price is not technically difficult. I beleive I was told that this is how it would work, which is great for travel agents. However I suspect if it does not have this feature, it is a marketing decision by Solars to encourage consolidators to sign on, by not exposing them to a price war. I wonder if keeping the $1.50 lookup charge after going live on LL+ is also to reduce agents agents searching for the very best deal on price? As ever, just speculating, Idle
