Artis Real Estate Investment Trust is an unincorporated closed-end REIT based in Canada. Artis REIT's portfolio comprises properties located in Central and Western Canada and select markets throughout the United States, including regions such as Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Arizona, Minnesota, Colorado, New York, and Wisconsin. The properties are divided into three categories: office, retail, and industrial. The industrial properties account for most of the portfolio, followed by the office properties and the retail properties.

My comment was predicated on the fact that Mr Mani stated very simply he did not see the need to sell anymore public securities, but tendered almost all 5 million shares sigfinicantly below his cost base of $20 for Artis, gaining 30 million in liquidity. Perhaps he is also freeing up more liquidity in FCR as it did tank hard lately (harder than other REITS), and that wouldn't be good
