Boeing will be given the order. It's a done deal. The same reason this government bought a couple of old dilapidated submarines from Great Britain, same reason they bought some old jet fighters from Australia, same reason they bought the overpriced F35s. 
They do this so that they will not be pressured too much for not fulfilling their obligations to Nato.
It's cheaper and aligns more with this woke PMs vision of the world. 
Also I will predict that in the next election he will win another term. Partly because of the way the votes are spread out in this country and because the conservative party can choose a leader that can appeal to the general population. It's as clear and simple as that.
The only way to change that is to allow or push Quebec out of Canada. It's half way out already anyways and will leave on its own eventually. Without Qebec there would never be another liberal party prime Minister elected in this country.
