Global Atomic Corp T.GLO

Alternate Symbol(s):  GLATF

Global Atomic Corporation provides a combination of high-grade uranium mine development and zinc concentrate production. It has two principal lines of business: the processing of electric arc furnace dust (EAFD) obtained from steel companies in Turkiye through a Waelz kiln process to recover zinc concentrates that are then treated by zinc smelters (EAFD Business); and the acquisition, exploration and development of uranium properties in Niger (Uranium Business). Its Uranium Division is developing the fully permitted, large, high grade Dasa Deposit. Dasa is a high-grade sandstone-hosted deposit with mineralization across a range of horizons from Jurassic to Carboniferous in age. Its Base Metals Division holds a 49% interest in the Befesa Silvermet Turkey, S.L. (BST) Joint Venture, which operates a modern zinc recycling plant, located in Iskenderun, Turkiye. Its joint venture partner, Befesa Zinc S.A.U. (Befesa) holds a 51% interest in and is the operator of the BST Joint Venture.

Nuclear Yellowcake Production ON SCHEDULE Early 2025

Nuclear Yellowcake Production ON SCHEDULE Early 2025
Mr Uranium reports (older school mining guy knows how to do it):

Stephen G. Roman, president and chief executive officer, stated:

"We continue to make significant progress......having now put in place a mining and support team of over 200 people........with extensive uranium mining experience....... Ramp is nearing the top of the orebody and earthworks at the plant site are preparing the location for civil works. We remain on schedule to produce yellowcake for delivery to nuclear utilities in early 2025."

Approximately 500 metres of ramp development have now been completed. Surface and underground mine infrastructure, including mine dry, ventilation raises, electrical and pumping installations, are under way.

Since the 2023 MRE (mineral resource estimate) has been released, the updated mine plan, expected in Q4 this year, will have a positive effect on the phase 1 mine plan. A significant portion of the Dasa orebody wireframe has been upgraded to the indicated resource category, which will allow a new, larger minable reserve to be calculated, based on actual mining costs.

Detailed engineering for the processing plant is nearing completion.
