If management had anything on the ball, they would have...been able to match the major seller to one or more institutional investors in a large sale/swap at an negotiated price between the two parties. i.e we would see a PR after the fact of, say, a 35 million dollar share sale between a couple of parties at 68 cents a share. I have seen this numerous times over the years. The seller is happy to get ride of a large postion with a small discount, and more importantly the buyer knows he can't buy in size without bidding up the shareprice. But it seems they are unable to sell the story to anyone at 70 cent level.
