Not too sure where you're getting that Migraine, XOM still trading near 52 week highs despite the Denbury purchase AND in comparison to most of its Canadian counterparts. So not really getting where you're going with this.....

"This is a good lesson for other oil companies thinking along those same lines.
Exxon, stick to your knitting or suffer the consequences."


This type of thought & behavior is what gets most inexepienced investors in trouble in the stock market. Getting emotional & falling in luv with certain stocks or positions while being in denial (NO not the river lol!) of in-your-face facts could be detrimental to your financial health. Though i FULLY understand your stance & biases in this sector, even though i don't agree with you, dismissing or denying this a pure nonsense could be fatal going forward and not conducive to successfull investment strategies.....

This is something that is only learnt through painful experiences, lessons or hardships.
