A Justin spoof: Now that the Trudeau Liberals have taxed to death the legalized cannabis industry, Justin is looking for another source of tax revenue to help offset the wild fires burning across the country from coast to coast that are releasing tons and tons of greenhouse gases in the form of CO2. Yes, Justin needs another carbon tax. You know, the internet highway doesn't need a license to surf on, like a drivers license for a vehicle so approaching all of the internet service providers in Canada, a tax will be levied on all citizens having access to the internet. The internet service providers will quickly raise their rates to collect this new "surfers license". Luckily the insurance companies have not yet stepped up to offer insurance premiums for internet surfers. The SL or surfers license will have to be purchased similar to a driving license, fishing license, gun licenes, hunting license, etc, etc, and the license will have to be provided to your internet service provider before opening your MAC address to get onto the internet.
They were thinking of taxing the air we breathe but with all these forest fires and smoke in the air, well the quality just isn't there to justify an air tax.
I have a suggestion for the Pentagon. Instead of harassing the global population why don't you put your military assets to work and help Justin justify an air tax.
The air quality here was pretty bad yesterday and I found some time for the spoof. But seriously, shhhhhh.....don't give the Liberals any ideas about the surfer tax.
A smart government would have given a new starting industry a five year excise tax break until they got established and turned a profit.
We won't mention the over $10 billion Federal investment/tax break an auto maker got to keep building that battery plant in Ontario.
