True North mill is amazing The True North mine and mill complex is located right beside the town of Bissett, Manitoba. I stayed at the hotel in Bissett in my younger days and didn’t even realize the mine was there. Underground gold mining started here in 1932 and 2 million oz have been produced over the years via a shaft and several access portals. The site has evolved to include a modern mill complex rated at 1300 t/d, but mining has been temporarily suspended. I suspect the townsfolk will be thrilled to here that the mill could be going back into operation and not only that, there’s likely a few currently-unemployed miners in town, that would jump at the chance to work in the new Donner lithium mine.
