UUSA Targets 5km Strike at Harts Point Uranium Project As the focus on electrification and reducing reliance on carbon-based energy sources intensifies, the demand for uranium is expected to experience notable growth in the coming years. The US domestic uranium market, in particular, holds promising potential for expansion, especially with the possibility of a ban on Uranium Imports looming.
In anticipation of this rising demand and recognizing the opportunities within the domestic market, Kraken Energy Corp. (UUSA.c or UUSAF for US investors) is actively committed to advancing its high-grade past-producing uranium properties in the United States.
UUSA had a good week both announcing that it has started drilling at its Harts Point Uranium Project and closing 6% in the green.
With 20 fully permitted drill pad locations, UUSA's Harts Point exploration efforts will be focused on drilling three holes along a 5km strike.
The objective of these focused drill holes is to intersect the favorable Chinle Formation host rock, known for its uranium-bearing potential. Historical data from three oil and gas wells in the area has revealed "off-scale" radioactivity, indicating promising results.
In the vicinity of the Harts Point Uranium Property, a mere 11 kilometers to the west, historic mines have demonstrated remarkable success, extracting 280,000 pounds of U3O8 at an impressive concentration of 0.3% U3O8 from the highly favorable Chinle Formation rock.
