Oncolytics Biotech Inc. is a clinical-stage biotechnology company. The Company is focused on developing pelareorep, an intravenously delivered immunotherapeutic agent that activates the innate and adaptive immune systems and weakens tumor defense mechanisms. As posted in June 2022, .." the relationship between the CD47 "don't eat me" signal / CD47 antibodies / and the oncolytic virus like pelareorep work to neutralize CD47 on tumor cells and promotes phagocytosis, thus complementing anti-CD-47 agents such as the one that Pfizer acquired through the Trillium acquisition for US$ 2.26 Billion."
