Artis Real Estate Investment Trust is an unincorporated closed-end REIT based in Canada. Artis REIT's portfolio comprises properties located in Central and Western Canada and select markets throughout the United States, including regions such as Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Arizona, Minnesota, Colorado, New York, and Wisconsin. The properties are divided into three categories: office, retail, and industrial. The industrial properties account for most of the portfolio, followed by the office properties and the retail properties.

SL Green is up 50% since June. Artis will hopefully remain focused on asset sales, debt repayment, and NCIB/SIB (liquidity permitting) and eventually sentiment will change. The asset sales will give Artis a stronger balance sheet which is never a bad thing. So long as the Artis distribution is safe, we are collecting ~8.5% yield while we wait for sentiment to change. Sentiment on SL Green in April was every bit as bleak as sentiment on Artis is now. It doesn't mean the shorts are right.
