When will the world’s coniferous forests stop burning?
When will the world’s coniferous forests stop burning? When they are all gone from their former habitat. Individual species will still survive in small, isolated populations, but only seedlings with favorable environmental conditions will prosper, which may occur higher in elevation or most likely at higher latitude. It is IMO possible that some areas will continue to receive sufficient precipitation to support these forests but will only likely to occur over less than a quarter of their previous range.
Crop failure and food shortages will expand affecting hundreds of millions of subsistence farmers and the societies they feed, but the actual extreme weather event’s appearance will be scattered and spasmodic in nature, loss of a peach crop here, loss of oranges there, flooded crop lands around the world drastically reducing grain production as global food supplies fall and prices rise.
An exodus such as the world has never seen will occur as populations in a wide band surrounding the planet swelter and starve and attempt to flee the unbearable heat. Many will die just making the attempt.
But what about Hunter’s Laptop and is the government “picking” on conservatives? Let’s get back to the IMPORTANT issues.
