RE:Canopy Growth offers Wana gummies on Spectrum

RE:Canopy Growth offers Wana gummies on SpectrumIf Canopy did this deal with NDVA to do the Wana through Canopy, that legitimizes the product and the expectations are profits from those sales.

I hope it wasn't the same beancounters that did the BioSteel pre-buy numbers that seemed to miss so badly.

NDVA being chosen to still produce the gummies falls into Canopy's wheelhouse of cutting their manufacturing and sub letting future production.

Not a lot of downside to NDVA, in fact, should be an opportunity to increase manufacture revenue as long as they don't fall for product now, pay later terms.

The only kink is if Wana ain't all that it Wanna be as far as a leading sku in the gummie field.

Canopy is still doing deals for the future while cutting losses and still have most focus in the US and this deal seems to be a segway for Wana to the US market, maybe in more venues.

Canopy seems to be working hard going after money-making brands for their cannabinoid efforts but also seem to be writing down Canada in favour of the US marketplace and their big US MSO entrance as Canopy USA.

I think Canopy is going to continue to go all in for their US effort and I don't think it is in as tough shape as a lot of investors think.

They also have a huge Big Brother backing them which is STZ and being the major shareholder of Canopy that put up $5 billion C and more for control, in addition to going after more brands for their effort.

The recent shareprice surge of STZ shows confidence by their investors, hopefully that they figure the Canopy/Acreage deal is going to be a moneymaker when it all comes together.

The winners in the pot biz are going to be the ones that can continue to raise capital to ride out the 95% attrition that is coming for the little players while the market right-sizes itself.
