Permanent K CCS has the Highest Value and Dual CO2 Credits
NPK K fertilizer is permanent Carbin Capture and Storage ( CCS model ) which receives the highest CO2 prices.
The Farmer can also benefit.
N based fertilizer requires lots of natural gas to produce.
K does not and has a much smaller Farmers emission footprint .
The farmer can also benefit.
For example Carbon footprint of growing corn is very modest compared to N fertilizer .
However, this is substantially offset by an average of 36,000 lbs ( 18 tons ) of carbon dioxide that is absorbed from the air for every planted acre of land every year.
So, integrating the farmers CO2 credits along with the CCS credits due NPK can be a huge selling point to farmers to switch to NPK fertilizer.
