Anyone else find it great but strange?

Anyone else find it great but strange? Wonder why so many gold and silver equities are rallying so strongly today with gold doing so poorly after the US data? I have a bunch of gold stocks up 3 to 5 percent today and that's if you don't count AR being up 7 percent!
