Agree market's have been way distorted since covid. I always refer to the U.S. markets when I talk about the markets, DOW, NAS, S&P, etc. TSX is useless without the U.S. markets as everyone can tell when the U.S. markets are closed. I am not sure if you are asking a question. If you are referring to the bear market. I strongly believe we are still in a bear market and this is just a dead cat bounce. The recession has already started, if you take a look at all the layoffs that is happening right now. The markets just takes a bit of time to adjust. After this last rate cut, this dead cat rally will fizzle out. Going into summer the downtrend in the markets will continue and get worse. This is just my opinion. Cheers.
What is a bear market?
A bear market is defined by a prolonged drop in investment prices — generally, a bear market happens when a broad market index falls by 20% or more from its most recent high. The reverse of a bear market is a bull market, characterized by gains of 20% or more.
