COC050 Update- Cautiously Optimistic

COC050 Update- Cautiously OptimisticThings are still early, but the fire has already been downgraded to "under control" and it has not increased in size.

Although wind speeds are picking up, they're still not strong nor dry, the humidity in the region is on the uptick trending towards 'humid' conditions, the wind is maintaining a northerly direction pushing the fire into the burnt-out COC006 area (pretty much every direction but northeast towards PWM or south potentially towards people is what we're looking for), and the chances of rain beginning tomorrow and extending into Friday have increased.

That all being said, its really really important to note that "Under Control" does not mean out. Forest fires are frightening and they can burn so deeply into the ground they can stay burning throughout the winter to potentially start again next year. I don't think COC050 was quite fierce enough for that, but COC007 definitely was and its why firefighters were metaphorically right next door to this fire and ready to respond. The wind shift on Thursday bringing rain also has a good chance to blow in the direction we don't want, so we'll have to keep an eye on things for the time being. Cautiously optimistic though and looking good!

Finally, I sound like I'm defending the company always with the no news thing, but at this point I will also agree that something is up. It's pure speculation so I can't say whether its a good thing or a bad thing; but, when you look at the flow of last years updates compared to this year, something isn't lining up.

What follows is PURE SPECULATION. I will always say when what I am presenting is research, opinion, or speculation. I truly have no idea what the lack of news is about, but here are some theories that live in my brain.

Theory 1 (Nafets Personal Theory): Things are actually going quite well, and they don't see the need to market the project as heavily to retail investors. Either because there's some bigger fish, the interest is there from larger organizations, or there are talks going on; but, in this theory we're just not really worth the time with big money interested and $10 million in the bank. Obviously, not the strongest theory, but it could track if they don't want retail investors spiking the price to keep things lower for a potential buyout or agreement based on value? I would love to know exactly what they're legally required to report in terms of news/progress updates. Could this theory hold ground, or do they have to disclose updates to the program?

Theory 2 (I think the most likely): Things are a little delayed by the fires, and the company is sticking to a late summer start to the drill program. Therefore they see updates as counterproductive and an unnecessary allocation of resources when they have a plan and they're sticking to it.

Theory 3: Something really not good has happened, and they're scrambling to fix or spin it.

Theory 4: Something really good has happened. and they're lining up their ducks.

I will say again, these are all just theories and speculation. Only PWM truly knows why the radio silence. As a long, I do hope its for good reasons, and that we hear something soon. At the same time however, mining projects have depressingly long timelines, and when things are right, they're right- I have faith in the fundamentals here.

As always, thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day <3
