So, there you have it, the real reason Aliis cannot be used in CCTV cameras.
Once a video or image is altered in this manner (cut and paste), it becomes totally useless as evidence in a court of law. Changes to exposures, contrast and sharpness are fine, but alterations like the one this patent describes are not admissible.
No wonder there was no NR on this.
