RE:Thought they sold unita long ago …Yes they issue shares as part of the compensation program for CPG staff, but I think the amount of shares given to employees is small compared to the share buy back program. After the creation of 50 million new shares as part of the payment to Shell for the Kaybob Duvernay purchase, outstanding shares were around 585 million. Current share count is 535 million. NCIB is eating away at the share count... of course never as fast as share holders would
like, but is is happening. Share based compensation program is a feature of every oil producer I am familiar with. No sense belly aching about this reasonable form of compensation. The NCIB is doing what it was intended to do.
