RE:Earthquake

RE:Earthquake Sporty, yeah the news came over my Whatsapp chat group. No immediate reports of damage to oil infrastructure but the earthquake even shook buildings as far east as Caracas, 1500 km from Bogota and brought down part of a famous old church, Virgin del Rosario Aranzazu  in Maracaibo, Venezuela about 1000 km from Bogota.

So I imagine that some roads and bridges probably got damaged in oil producing areas that may effect normal operations. Those roads through those mountainous rainforests are a challenge at the best of times. I think, but am not sure, that that is the area where the Nazca plate meets the South American plate so the energy of the collision would propogate a long distance. Fishfanatic would know more because he lives in Colombia as does Chulo I think. They both probably felt it.
