RE:RE:4C labs buying 600K of OGI medical MJJmho, but I think US MSOs would be wise to lock up some of that good, safe, inspected Canadian cannabinoid product to get the International channels working.
If for no other reason than the 40% discount of US dollars to Canadian dollars.
It is very unclear to me as an investor in lots of things pot, just what the safety factor is in the US with all of the black market pot suppliers pushing the 50% level.
The US is dragging their feet on safety for consumers of pot in the US, mostly from lack of enforcement personelle.
Canada is swimming in safe pot supplies, as a matter of fact, Canopy just shut down 3 grows because of too much supply.
Or the US MSOs could get off their protectionist program and start picking up some growers in Canada, for their safe product.
Canadian and other International companies should be pushing hard to get Canadian product on shelves around the world but especially the US to capitalize on our surplus supply.
My crystal ball is telling me that ultimately, 3rd world countries that are close to the equator will regain world supplier status because of cheap labour, no heating and lighting costs and no greenhouses.
Greenhouse grows should help to protect the best strains that are being spliced but 3rd world countries grow "good enough" product for most needs.
Pleased to see OGI pushing sales for GB but the States is the big target market.
Canopy has announced that they are headed for the US and Tilray is really liking beer and alcohol companies Stateside.
