Apparently, It Takes Gull to Be Me TheTruth1234 says I have a lot of “gull.” I hope he’s right.
He says I consider myself a victim. I have never called myself a victim. I made the choices to join Bioasis and I chose to stay far too long. But I did have a huge investment in time and effort in Bioasis. I tried to protect that and I should have cut my losses when I saw where Rathjen was going 3 or 4 years ago. Win some. Lose some. It’s a sad story but there it is.
I agree that I am not the smartest person in the room. It’s a silly concept, really. TT said “smartest man in the room”. There are also smart women in most rooms. TT wouldn’t care about that. The thought of smart women is too “woke” for him. I may not be the smartest but I do have knowledge, which is intimidating for intellectually lazy people like TheTruth1234. That’s his problem and he displays that problem every time he posts.
I have some advice for older readers here. Stop aging! If you get older, people like TT will ridicule you and diminish your value. Our lives don’t end well. We die, and we might operate with diminished capacities for much of the end time. Don’t give up. Don’t hide. State your opinions. Share your long matured wisdom. Don’t let creeps like TheTruth1234 get you down. (Boomskid will be dealing with age discrimination from time to time.)
The world is full of poverty. Some people like TT hold poverty and the poor in contempt and ridicule them. TT illustrates a profoundly shallow character in this regard. I don't consider myself to be poor. I have a completely different outlook than that. I have the capabilities, means and opportunities to nicely recover. I may not have every comfort or everything on my wish list, but give me a good book, a good movie or some good music and the rest doesn’t mean much. Never has.
I have chosen new paths. I have a series of six interconnected novels underway, all related in location, characters and themes. Creating these has been the most fun I've had in a long time. They will be self-published under a pseudonym.
Boomskid will appear very soon with a move to Substack (maybe Patreon) happening very soon after. A new business website will also be up soon to attract some technical writing work, if I need it.
What I’m embarking on is far more ambitious than what I’ve been doing for a long time. I may fail, but I will be writing for myself and having a great time doing it.
I will continue to post comments here about whatever and whomever I choose. You may say that I have a lot of gull, and I will chuckle.
