RE:RE:RE:Question for Steve: The $250k Advisory fee seems low...?I don't know either, but referencing a Financial Times article from 2017 it states:
Typically, sellside deal fees are set as a percentage of the company’s equity or enterprise value. The fee rate typically decreases as transaction sizes grow. For example, the average total fee in the FT study for transactions valued at between $1bn and $5bn was 0.92 per cent; for transactions between $10bn and $25bn, the average rate was 0.29 per cent. source:
https://ig.ft.com/wall-street-fees/ If LME get's a BO deal of $2 Biliion CAD (~$7.57 / share) deal...a 0.92% success fee for advisory services for the deal would be $18.4 million CAD. I'm all for bringing in advisors to get a deal done....I'm now just scrathcing my head a bit about why the fee we have paid so far seems so low....
