RE:RE:US national debtI agree that the national debt in Canada is a very serious threat to our existence in the longer run but for comparison's sake, Canada's National debt (at the Federal level) to GDP is around 63% while the Americans have an astonishing 123% ratio (not including individual states). 

That's why you have to own some "real" assets and not just paper. If the system goes bust then have something tangible to fall back on.

Accordingly-- oil, natural gas, gold and silver (and some other precious minerals) will always be in my portfoilio.
