I'd also add that, for some inexplicable reason, he was unable or unwilling to implement initiatives to unlock the synergies and efficiencies is the corporate structure. That was probably as big a reason as anything else for the management change... possibly the main reason. As you note, results show marked improvement recently.
The Board now has two seasoned ITS professionals with positive track records of accomplishment, plus fintech, M&A/legal and now operational execution expertise. That's an appropriate composition imo. I see the new CEO adding to the ITS bench strength, likely in the mergers and acquisitions area - assuming that growth will continue to be the corporate mandate. The operating divisions will be charged with delivering organic growth. That's a solid structure.
