RE:Collateral damage

RE:Collateral damageI have shares in HPQ and had in PYR but knew nothing about the legal situation with the AMF and Peter's father's old company.  I have tried to look through the Pyr stockhouse bullboard to find out about this, but there are too many posts and most of them are, rather, well, heated and not very infomative.  So Taramacktop, since you seem to have been there when this all went down, my understanding is that Peter purchased IP from his father's old company (Pheonix Haute Technologies) -- the agreed price was 5.2 million dollars but he ended up paying 2/3 that price in pyr stock.  So my questions are (if you or someone else could answer)
a.  not knowing the relevant security law issues here, what was the law being violated?  Peter's father was alive then -- was he otherwise of sound mind etc?  Was the 33% discount suspicious?
b.  Pheonix Haute Tech was wound down after this transaction or after Peter's father's death, no?
c.  and what exactly was the IP that was being purchased?  Did this have anything to do with the plasma arc furnace technology HPQ is using?

Thanks

Alex
