RE:RE:More than 90% of Saskatchewan’s heavy oil sites Actually there is a net 0 in place by 2050 and that the co2 levels must come down by 40 to 50 percent of 2005 levels by 2030 so while Saskatchewan and whoever is doing what they are this legislation that came out in 2021 is enshrined as I said the legislation will be. The oil and gas companies will go down swinging and try to get away with as much as they can up to 2030 I am not surprised that this will be the case BUT as I said they will be under the gun and why axe tech is extremely valuable and sought. As I said ot has at this point nothing to do with the cti not being beneficial enough as it has to do with fully finishing the test tweaking all things and proving what we already know and seen through the first phase of the heating cycle.
Now the way I see things is this if big companies like Suncor see that there is a need a push and despite as I said rightly divesting their renewable segment and taking the step to go after companies like Total Energy with existing oil wells that is still cleaner than trying find and develop new ones but still isn't quite cutting co2 to the max yet not producing to the max. This is being done again because of what is expected in the energy legislation so these guys as I said have 0 choice because as 2030 draws closer and closer the reigns will likely tighten more and more to the progressive reduction of co2 and the oil and gas will feel more of the proverbial axe falling down on them.
The carbon 0 2050 also had accelerator funding which gave an example of a big known company whose name escapes me that uses coal to power its plants but if it shifted and retrofitted to a cleaner source there was a 420 million incentive in place for it. So there are both sticks and carrots to achieve the net 0 emission. Sask these companies have 0 place to go but sure they will go down swinging and use whatever they can in the near term to go about their business as I stated about Suncor which is a half step in between being more heavily polluting and not quite to the ideal of considerably less but I suspect we will see more and more of this and like I said the cti works it just needs to be fully figured out in terms of duration interval between heating cycles optimal oil flow and wear and tear to equipment.
Again not that cti is not cost effective it still needs important pieces of the puzzle and then let's see. We are still 6 to 12 months away though.
